Description
This scene, near Pendleton, Oregon, is looking southeast toward the blue mountains, with south coyote creek in the near foreground. Farmers are prepping the land for the coming winter. Hence the tractor circle in the foreground. In the bottom of the little gorge and out of site behind the hill to the left is a farmhouse.
The eastern half of Oregon is flatter and drier than the western half. The primary crop in this area is soft white wheat, and makes great flour for cookies, cakes, pancakes, soda crackers, etc.
