Description
After a light morning snow shower.
The Banks-Vernonia trail is a state parks administered multipurpose recreation trail/path in northwest Oregon. It makes use of an existing old rail right-of-way. Shown here, one trailhead is in the town of Banks, Oregon. The other end is 26 miles away, and 1600 feet in elevation higher in the town of Vernonia, Oregon.
The trail passes through farmland, under & over state highways, through a state park, past several small towns and a wildlife sanctuary. Its very popular for walking, running & cycling.
