A female Anna’s Hummingbird drinks nectar at the Fernhill Wetlands Park in Forest Grove, Oregon. Fernhill Wetlands is located near the confluence of Gales Creek with the Tualatin River, just minutes from downtown Forest Grove. It’s a world-class destination for birders who come to see rare migratory birds and waterfowl. The site encompasses nearly 800 acres and attracts various wildlife, including herons, hawks, beavers, otters and mink, Bald Eagle, Greater Yellowleg, American Whote Pelican, Northern Shoveler, Long-Billed Dowitcher & Belted Kingfisher. Plus, dozens of common species of city and rural birds, including several varieties of hummingbirds.
